"If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny."-Thomas Jefferson
Imagine how much foresight it took to say something like this in the late 1700s.
Now think about how this has played out in America since World War 2.
We have sick care instead of health care.
We have big pharma making billions off Americans that "take their pills" every day.
We have people so uninformed and afraid of what the media says that they accept whatever the elite tells them to. So they wear masks that do nothing and keep their distance while ignoring the many many things they could do to improve their health.
Don't even get me started on student debt, consumer debt, government spending, and the slow and steady erosion of rights that the public has given away willingly because some pundit on TV told them to be afraid of a virus, or terrorists, or drugs, or crime, etc.
If you rely on the government FOR ANYTHING, you are doomed.
And that's not hyperbole in the least. The food guidelines themselves kill over a million people a year in this country. Pharmaceutlas, which are legal drugs, kill hundreds of thousands a year. And those that die from medical error and/or complications from viruses, etc., do so because their health has been destroyed thanks to the profit-motivated corrupt system.
Simply put, the government and crony capitalism is responsible for all of it.
Yet people fall in line and do what they're told without an ounce of investigation.
Worst of all, most people believe the government is supposed to protect them and take care of them.
If people got wise to the reality that the government's prerogative is itself, I think we could reverse many of these trends.
